Kylian Mbappe's future has been the source of endless speculation all summer long and with just two weeks of the transfer window remaining, Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has added more fuel to the fire regarding the rumours surrounding the 18-year-old prodigy.
Last week, during the French champions' 4-1 away victory over Dijon, Mbappe was reduced to a substitute's role, watching on from the sidelines as Radamel Falcao fired home a hat-trick to ensure a comfortable victory for the Monte Carlo club.
And while Jardim originally dismissed any notion that his benching of Mbappe meant that the young striker was set to depart the Ligue Un champions, the Monaco manager's latest decision is very questionable.

With Monaco set to take on Metz tomorrow, Jardim has not just benched Mbappe, but dropped him from the match day squad altogether. As of yet there are no stories reporting that Mbappe has suffered an injury that would rule him out of the clash, so it may be that the French champions are actually preparing for life without the France international.

Stories have circulated in the last few days suggesting that a £163 million deal to Paris Saint-Germain is on the cards, despite the club from the French capital already parting with a world record €222 million for Neymar, two weeks ago.

Real Madrid are believed to have been unsuccessful with a bid of £160 million last month for Mbappe, but may be encouraged to continue their pursuit of the prodigious forward if Monaco are willing to entertain offers. With a marquee name yet to arrive at the Bernabeu this summer, Florentino Perez will be chomping at the bit to throw a shedload of cash in somebody's direction.
This one could rumble on all the way to deadline day.
