Jose Mourinho may not be bringing in any new faces to Old Trafford in the January transfer window, but the Manchester United manager appears to be set for a clearout, and has told two players they will be allowed to leave the club, next month.
Last year, the Portuguese manager offloaded Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin, raising almost £50 million in the process, which went towards bringing in the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic, this summer.
Now, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Marouane Fellaini could be the two players that are allowed to leave United in order to raise funds ahead of another busy summer at Old Trafford.

Mkhitaryan proved to be one of United's most important players last season, after initial difficulties adjusting to life in the Premier League, providing regular goals and assists in the second half of the season before beginning the current campaign in the same manner.

However, after a dip in form, the Armenian playmaker has now been reduced to a role on the sidelines, after Mourinho apparently lost faith in the former Borussia Dortmund star, dropping him from his matchday squad for seven of the last eight games.

As for Fellaini, the Belgian midfielder is out of contract next summer and turned down United's last offer of a new deal, which may see the club try and avoid losing the former Everton man for nothing and cash in on him, next month, although it is believed Mourinho would rather keep him under a new contract.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of tomorrow's clash with West Bromwich Albion, Mourinho said, "I think for the right price. That's my approach as a manager, in cases where the club advises me.

"I think every player has a price. If a player is not happy, if a player brings with him the request with the number that we consider a good number for us - like it happened for us last season with Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin - I would never say no."
Fellaini was a £27.5 million arrival in 2013 during the doomed David Moyes era while Mkhitaryan arrived from Borussia Dortmund for £26 million, last summer.
