It had to be one of the biggest shocks in 2016 so far. Jackson Martinez moved from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid to Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande in a deal worth 45 million euros.
Nobody could quite believe it, but further details of his transfer have emerged online and Martinez's weekly wage may be the key reason behind his change of clubs.
The 29-year-old's new contract at Guangzhou Evergrande in China will net him a huge amount of money.

Guangzhou Evergrande, who are currently managed by former Chelsea and Brazil manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, also have former Tottenham midfielder Paulinho in their ranks.
