The Chinese Super League looks set to gain another high-profile player. As we know, for the past few years, an influx of household names have been lured to the Far East, both managers and players.

There's too many to list but you can find some of them in the following clip:

Anyway, the next big name player in line to make the switch is Atletico Madrid star Yannick Carrasco. The 24 year old joined Diego Simeone's side from Monaco in 2015, his services costing €17 million euros.

The Belgium international has gone on to make 100 appearances for Los Rojiblancos and famously scored in the 2016 Champions League final against Real Madrid.

But according to Spanish channel La Sexta, via AS, a bid of over €30 million euros has been submitted to Atleti from Dalian Yifang, who are looking to make up ground and complete a big-name signing, like many of their rivals have done in recent years.

Carrasco's agent has informed the club of the offer and they are allowing him to enter negotiations with the Chinese outfit, with an agreement needing to be reached before the Chinese transfer window shuts next week.

Of the reported €30 million fee, Atletico would only receive €22.5 million as Monaco would be entitled to 25 per cent following the sell-on clause placed in his deal when he left three years back.

Is Carrasco wasting his career away by heading to China?

Sound off in the comments.
