Manchester United have reportedly agreed to sign Edinson Cavani on a two-year deal with the Uruguayan due to travel to England tomorrow to complete his medical.

It's been a long summer, and now autumn, of transfer rumours for United and it's mainly been frustration for their fans as only Donny van de Beek has been added.

Time is running out for them to add any more players to the squad and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to add to his attack, with Jadon Sancho still the number one target.

United now have to turn to their alternatives for Sancho, with that transfer highly unlikely, and according to ESPN, United are poised to land Cavani.

Cavani had previously been linked with Atletico Madrid as well, with Diego Simeone wanting to pair him with new signing Luis Suarez.

Atleti were expected to sign the forward last summer but the move never materialised and he left PSG at the end of last season when his contract expired.

As well as a longer contract than most would offer someone who turns 34 in February, Cavani is also thought to still want quite high wages, having reportedly been on £350,000-a-week at the Parc des Princes.

So far the Old Trafford club have refused to meet Borussia Dortmund's €120 million asking price for Sancho and they only have till 11pm on Monday to sort any deal out.

As well as Cavani, the club have also been linked with Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele as an alternative, though Romano also reports they only want a loan deal whilst the Catalan giants are only interested in selling the player.

Lucas Ocampos is another name that has been mentioned, as United look to add to their forward line of Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood.

Away from the front line the Red Devils have also been heavily linked with Porto left-back Alex Telles but have once again been unwilling to meet the asking price.

Who do you think United will sign before the transfer window shuts?
