Liverpool Midfielder Set For Dream Move To Porto

Porto have confirmed the signing of Liverpool midfielder.

Joao Teixeira has agreed a four-year deal with the Portuguese side after rejecting a new contract at Liverpool. The 23-year-old failed to nail down a spot at Anfield just making the two appearances, where he was loaned out to both Brentford and Brighton playing a combined 34 games.

The Braga-native expressed his desire in completing his "dream" move by saying; "I am very happy. It's a dream for me to play in this great club. Aspired to wear this sweater because I was used to seeing FC Porto win over the years. I hope everything goes well and I want to give my best."

Porto finished third behind Sporting Lisbon and champions Benfica, though will have the chance to qualify for the Champions League as they hope their new addition can help them to glory on all fronts next season.
