How Kylian Mbappe Tried To Persuade N'Golo Kante To Join PSG

The France and PSG forward clearly wants the Chelsea midfielder to join him at the Ligue 1 side.

Kylian Mbappe might be one of the hottest footballing properties on the planet right now but even the PSG forward is in the hunt to make his team better, and he's used an interesting technique to try and tap up N'Golo Kante.

France's World Cup squad was a bit ridiculous. It's not revisionist to suggest that with the squad they took to Russia it was no wonder they were one of the favourites to win the tournament.

There's not many teams that wouldn't want to sign one of their forwards, in midfield the likes of N'Golo Kante, Paul Pogba, Corentin Tolisso and Blaise Matuidi could grace any of Europe's top sides and the defence is so young and talented that they'll be there for many years to come.

Of course out of everyone Kylian Mbappe would be the most wanted player. At 19 he could dominate football for over a decade, if fitness allows him to, but it's not likely PSG are going to let him go.

As for Mbappe though he'd love one of his countrymen to join him in the French capital and he's been trying to tap up N'Golo Kante. Talking to Football France, via Get French Football News, the teenager said:

"It is true that he (PSG President Al Khelaifi) has consulted me. And I said to him once again that Kanté would be good for our team.

"I spoke to N'Golo during the World Cup, but not extensive because I know that when you bombard the brain with transfer stuff... At the end, I left a few words in his pockets, that he would have discovered once he got home (from the World Cup) to properly send a message."

I only hope that Kante checked his pockets before chucking his jeans in the wash and losing the note because lord only knows that is the most frustrating thing on earth.

There has been rumours of the French champions interest in Kante previously this summer but it's likely it would take a huge offer, and the midfielder to ask to leave, for Chelsea to even consider signing him.

Since moving to England the 27 year old has won the Premier League title with both Chelsea and Leicester City and won the Player of the Year award with the former, and could have won it with the latter.

Kante, like Mbappe, is Parisien and might fancy a move back home one day. Could Mbappe's notes trigger that thought?
