Manchester City have completed the signing of Carli Lloyd as she'll ply her trade in the FA Women's Super League on a short-term contract.

Reports were swirling about the potential deal last week but today the move was finalised as she held aloft the City shirt.

Here's a snippet of what the City faithfuls can expect to see:

The two-time FIFA Player of the Year will return to NWSL's Houston Dash once City's season is finished, which could be as late as June 1st if they reach the Champions League final.

City face Danish outfit Fortuna Hjørring in the quarter finals with the final slated to take place at the Cardiff City Stadium in Cardiff on June 1st.

The 34-year-old becomes the fourth U.S international to sign for a club in Europe following Alex Morgan's move to Lyon, Crystal Dunn to Chelsea and Heather O'Reilly switch to Arsenal.

Props to City for securing one of the biggest coups in women football by landing the talented midfielder. Welcome to Manchester, Carli!
