Barcelona are somehow still in the race to be Champions League and La Liga champions once again this season. But despite that the club will be desperate to rebuild in the summer, possibly starting with a Premier League star.

Barcelona have almost no right to still be in the Champions League. Luis Enrique's side lost 4-0 away to PSG in the last 16 quarter final first leg, giving themselves almost no chance of being in the quarter finals.

What made the comeback even more unlikely was Edinson Cavani's second half goal for the French in Spain. However as you'll definitely already know by now the Catalan side staged one of the great comebacks scoring three goals in seven minutes to win 6-1 on the night, 6-5 on aggregate.

Claiming the Spanish title once again also seemed almost impossible just a couple of months ago as Real Madrid stacked up around 40 games unbeaten but Los Blancos have dropped more points since the turn of the year letting Barca back in the title frame.

It's likely Zinedine Zidane's side will still win the league but the title race is closer than it looked not that long back and it all seems to have been triggered by Enrique's announcement that he's off at the end of the season.

That will likely trigger a change of playing personnel at the Camp Nou and a right back must be one of the top priorities. According to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, Barcelona sporting director Robert Fernandez held a secret meeting with Hector Bellerin last week to discuss a possible move.

The 22-year-old right back was a youth product at La Masia before moving to the Emirates where he has become an integral part of Arsenal's team but it looks like once again it could be a frustrating season for the Gunners.

The reports suggest that Bellerin would be open to a move back to Barca if Arsene Wenger was to stay put at the Emirates, whereas he'd be more willing to stay if there was a new man in charge.

Bellerin's deal to 2023 would make it an expensive move for Barca but their desperation for a new right back could force their hand.
