Viktor Gyokeres has reportedly attracted the attention of a third Premier League club as the race for his signature continues.

After scoring 54 goals and assisting 13 across all competitions for Sporting Clube de Portugal during the 24/25 season, Gyokeres has become one of the most in-demand players in world football.

So far, the likes of Juventus, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been linked with the Swedish international.

Earlier in the month, it was claimed that Arsenal became the first club to submit an official bid for Gyokeres, worth €60 million including add-ons.

Recently, transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano stated that Gyokeres has informed Sporting of his decision to leave the club.

He wrote on social media: "Viktor Gyökeres has already personally informed Sporting president Varandas about his decision to leave, no intention to play for the club anymore.

"Gyökeres wants new chapter, he feels heartbroken after exit pact and not expected to return to training as @abolapt reports."

Now, a new report has emerged suggesting that another Premier League side has registered an interest.

As reported by Portuguese news outlet CM Jornal, Premier League champions Liverpool have entered the race to sign Gyokeres.

It has been stated that Gyokeres is on Liverpool's shortlist as they look to reinforce their attacking options ahead of their title defence.

Darwin Nunez is expected to depart Anfield, with Napoli currently the most likely destination.

Meanwhile, the likes of Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo have also been linked with a move away.

In terms of incomings, Liverpool have been linked with the likes of Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike, with Gyokeres now reportedly added to the list.

The Reds are set for a busy summer transfer window, having already signed Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez is closing in on a move to Anfield, with an official announcement expected this week.
