Fans think Viktor Gyokeres has finally decided on the club he wants to join this summer amid links with Arsenal and Manchester United.

Gyokeres, 27, has been the subject of interest from PSG, Juventus and Al Hilal during the summer transfer window, but links with Manchester United and Arsenal appear to be the most pressing at this time.

The Swede netted 52 times in 54 appearances for Sporting CP in 2024/25 and contributed to their double-winning season, which saw the club win the Taça de Portugal and Primeira Liga.

And just last week, talkSPORT’s Alex Crook reported that Gyokeres had made his choice of which club he wants to join, he wrote: "I had a message 24 hours or so ago suggesting that Viktor Gyokeres has told friends and family he expects to join Arsenal.

"We know that Manchester United are interested in signing him as well, obviously, there is that pre-existing relationship with Ruben Amorim.

"But Arsenal can offer Champions League football, maybe can offer a tilt at the title next season.

"But Sporting are going to play hardball, there's been a fallout between Gyokeres and the club because his agent has suggested that they had a gentleman's agreement he could leave for £60million, I think they're looking for nearer £80m.”

Gyokeres’ destination is still unclear, however, fans think he has made up his mind after spotting an account he follows on Instagram.

Arsenal fan account ‘Arsenal Pulse’ posted a screenshot which showed the followers of an Instagram account called ‘Elite Dogs Protection’, which is a London-based company. Gyokeres, Jack Wilshere, David Raya and Ben White also follow the page.

Fans were quick to give their thoughts

One said: “The absolute scenes of this investigative work. This is a major sign IMO.”

Another added: “Can't decide whether finding this out is weirdly impressive or impressively weird.”

A third commented: “Hate social media during transfer windows. The days of getting absolutely blindsided by signing Mesut Özil are gone, and I miss them. Having said that, Arsenal fans' detective work never fails to deliver."

While a fourth added: “Why’s he following a London-based guard dog company also used by multiple Arsenal players? Interesting.”

It must be noted that it is unclear exactly when Gyokeres began following the account and he may have followed it during his previously spells in England with Coventry and Brighton.
