Real Madrid want to appoint Jurgen Klopp in the summer as the club's dream signing has been identified, according to stunning reports.
Xabi Alonso left his role as head coach on Monday after just seven months in charge.
Real announced his departure just a day after the club's crushing defeat to Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final.
Alvaro Arbeloa, who has coached the club's B team since June 2005, has been named as Alonso's replacement and oversaw their shock 3-2 defeat to Albacete in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday.

Klopp, 58, returned to football by joining the Red Bull Group as their Head of Global Soccer.
But Perez hopes to lure him back to management, with the German boss addressing the rumours.

Sky Sports Germany's Patrick Berger reports the 25-year-old would cost a total package of around €500 million, comprising of a transfer fee, signing bonuses and long-term salary, which he claims makes the transfer 'very difficult'.
Haaland, who joined Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2022, is contracted at the Etihad until 2034 after signing a new 10-year deal in January.
The Norwegian phenom has enjoyed an ultra-prolific spell in the Premier League, scoring an impressive 105 league goals in 118 games.
