Real Madrid have secured the services of Kylian Mbappe for next season - and it appears they have another rising star on their list of targets for 2025.

After intense speculation which has lasted for literally years, it was recently confirmed Mbappe will join the La Liga side at the start of July on a free transfer, penning a five-year deal.

It means his time at Paris Saint-Germain, which has seen him scored 256 goals in 308 games in all competitions, will come to an end.

The Champions League and La Liga winners will have Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr in the same squad next season in a tantalising prospect.

Another bonus for Carlo Ancelotti's side is that because Mbappe was coming to the end of his contract at PSG, he will arrive in Spain on a free transfer with no fee having to paid to the French side for the forward's services.

It means Real can allocate funds for future acquisitions elsewhere in the squad, either this summer or next summer.

And it appears the Spanish side have their eye on one of Bayer Leverkusen's recent Bundesliga title winners who starred in their remarkable campaign.

According to German publication BILD, Real are considering signing Florian Wirtz with a price tag of no less than €150m needed to potentially secure his signature.

Wirtz scored 18 goals and notched 20 assists across 49 games in all competitions as Xabi Alonso's team won the Bundesliga title for the first time in the club's history.

As per the BILD report, Real are said to have the 'best chance' of landing the German international in 2025, whose contract with Leverkusen runs until 2027 and is understood to have no release clause.

The club's CEO Fernando Carro has confirmed they will not sell the 21-year-old for less than €150m, and it is also reported that Alonso could head to the Santiago Bernabeu with Wirtz.

Alonso was linked with a move to fellow former club Liverpool earlier this year to replace the departing Jurgen Klopp, but the retired midfielder opted to remain with Leverkusen and the Anfield side have since appointed Arne Slot.

It might not happen this summer, but Real could spend big next summer to bring Wirtz to Spain.
