Rasmus Hojlund has already made his feelings clear on potentially leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid.

During the summer transfer window, Danish international Hojlund moved to Old Trafford from Serie A side Atalanta in a deal worth a reported fee of £72 million.

In the first part of the 23/24 season, the 21-year-old found it tough to settle in the Premier League.

Four months after joining United, Hojlund finally scored his first league goal during a dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Villa in December.

In 29 appearances across all competitions, Hojlund has scored 11 goals and assisted two as he begins to find his feet at the club.

His recent good form has led to reports linking him with a surprise move to Spanish La Liga giants Madrid.

According to Spanish news outlet DefensaCentral, Madrid’s chief scout, Juni Calafat, was been tasked with scouting Hojlund in recent months.

However, the striker has seemingly made his feelings clear about any potential transfers away from United.

Back in August, Hojlund told a Danish TV Station, as per The Sun: “It's about dreaming big and daring to dream big. Otherwise you will not reach your goals.

"It's rare you get everything in one package, but I'd say everything has just come together with me and Manchester United. It's a perfect match.”

He added: “Right now the club is going through a process, and I would very much like to be a part of it.

“This is also why I have chosen to come here now, because I feel I can grow with the club, and hopefully we can win a lot of trophies together.”

When asked about when his love for the Red Devils started, Hojlund said: “I think that Rasmus at ten would probably be "buzzing", as they say over here in England.

“(He) set himself a goal, so that's what I've gone after.”
