Casemiro makes final decision over next club ahead of last Man Utd match

Casemiro said farewell to the Old Trafford faithful on Sunday afternoon with a victory over Nottingham Forest, but he can still make one final appearance for Manchester United when the club travels to Brighton and Hove Albion on the last day of the campaign.

The Brazilian has no intention of calling it a day on his career at 34 years old with the hope of playing for one more elite club to add to his CV, having now played for the Red Devils, Real Madrid, Porto and Sao Paulo.

Man United are lining up Ederson, the Atlanta star, as the replacement in the defensive midfielder role under Michael Carrick next season after he was appointed to the managerial role permanently.

As United appear to be chasing a Serie A star as his replacement, Casemiro has his eyes set on a move to the United States to feature in the MLS to sign off his career.

It has now been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Casemiro will be making the move to Inter Miami this summer upon the expiration of his deal at United.

The Italian journalist reported earlier in the month that the MLS side and Casemiro had been in talks since March regarding a deal.

Casemiro received an emotional send-off from the Old Trafford crowd following the Nottingham Forest win, in which it was announced that Tyrell Malacia would also leave Man United.

The Brazilian did secure some silverware while at the club, as he helped them to lift the EFL Cup in 2023 and the FA Cup in 2024.

While he was part of the losing side in the 2025 Europa League final as Tottenham Hotspur lifted the trophy, his impact for Man United throughout the competition was evident for all to see as he was named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season.
