A reported Manchester United transfer target has publicly declared interest in signing for the club this summer.
United are preparing for their first full transfer window under new permanent manager Michael Carrick.
The 44-year-old took interim charge in January, replacing Ruben Amorim, and guided United to Champions League qualification.
He has been rewarded with a two-year contract, plus the option of a third, with the appointment announced on Friday morning.

Unlike last season, when United were limited on who they could sign due to a failure to qualify for European football, they have more of an expansive scope this time around.
Reports from Italy suggest they are nearing a move for Brazil midfielder Ederson, who was said to have been an unused substitute during Atalanta's 1-1 draw with Fiorentina on Friday to prevent him from getting injured.

Tuttomercatoweb report they are also interested in signing Newcastle star Sandro Tonali, and that Carrick 'specifically wants' to bring him to Old Trafford.
But interest from left-field has appeared to emerge in Greece international winger Christos Tzolis, who currently plays for Belgian giants Club Brugge.
Tzolis joined then Premier League side Norwich in 2021 as a 19-year-old and, though he didn't enjoy particular success in English football, has smashed 42 goals and registered 42 assists across all competitions during his two seasons in Belgium.
Now 24, Tzolis has substantial experience under his belt and has also represented Brugge in the Champions League.

The Belgian side only paid €6.5 million to sign him and are therefore in line to receive a significant profit should they sell him this summer.
That is because he has attracted interest from Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Arsenal and Newcastle among others - as well as United.
Tzolis on Man Utd, Arsenal interest
In an interview with Belgian outlet Hie Nieuwsblad, Tzolis made some surprisingly direct comments when asked about his future.
While he claimed that 'only PSG' would be a better option than staying in Brugge, he then lavished praise on United.
"I feel good here. Staying for another year was the best decision I could have made last season," Tzolis said.
"It would have to be a Champions League team from England, Germany, Spain or Italy. In that case, I'd refuse [Crystal Palace interest].
"United could convince me. Such a massive club with so much history. It would be hard to say no to that."
In a separate interview, Tzolis was asked by DAZN pundit Stijn Stijnen specifically about interest from Manchester City, United or Arsenal - but he was more guarded in his response.
"I don't know. It depends on Club Brugge. It's not up to me to decide. We'll see what the best option is for me.
"It's not just about the name. We also have to ask ourselves what the best project is. Why not stay at Club Brugge? I have a contract until 2029."
