Manchester United have reportedly been given permission by Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his INEOS team to chase two summer transfer targets.

Towards the back end of 2023, it was confirmed that INEOS boss Ratcliffe had agreed a deal to buy a 25 per cent stake in the Old Trafford club.

It has been reported that Ratcliffe and his team will take charge of the football operations, with the Glazers heading up the commercial side.

Ahead of the summer transfer window, it has been reported that Ratcliffe and his INEOS team have given their seal of approval for the club to chase two players.

According to 90 Min, United are set to target Crystal Palace’s French winger Michael Olise.

In addition, an experienced striker is also said to be on the shortlist.

According to the report, Ratcliffe and INEOS define an experienced striker as someone who has scored double figures in at least three seasons in a top-five league.

Olise is expected to be a concrete option for the Old Trafford club when the summer transfer window commences.

In terms of the striker option, the Red Devils have been linked with the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart, Bologna frontman Joshua Zirkzee as well as RB Leipzig star Benjamin Sesko.

However, it is believed that United are unwilling to bring in a striker with a similar profile to Rasmus Hojlund, who joined last summer in a deal worth £72 million.

Despite a tough start to life in England, Danish international Hojlund is starting to settle and find form in front of goal.

Prior to Hojlund’s signing, it was reported that United showed an interest in Harry Kane, who ended up leaving Tottenham Hotspur for German Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

United are back in Premier League action this weekend when they take on Luton Town on Sunday afternoon.
