Liverpool are reportedly eyeing another bombshell signing and have drawn up a three-man shortlist.
It has been a relatively quiet summer for Liverpool so far but they did manage to finally seal their first transfer of the window this week.
On Tuesday night, it was confirmed that Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Marmardashvili will join the club next season.
A statement from the club read: “Liverpool have reached an agreement for the transfer of Giorgi Mamardashvili, subject to a work permit and international clearance – with the Valencia goalkeeper set to move to Anfield ahead of the 2025-26 season.

“The Reds have secured a deal for the 23-year-old that will see him stay in Spain for the remainder of the current campaign with Los Che before switching to Merseyside next summer.”
It has also been reported that the Reds are close to sealing a deal to sign Juventus winger Federico Chiesa.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano wrote on social media: “BREAKING: Federico Chiesa to Liverpool, here we go! Agreement done for €13m initial fee with add-ons. Four year contract for Chiesa as new Liverpool player, set to fly later today.
“Chiesa accepted Liverpool immediately. Deal DONE. Exclusive story confirmed.”

Apart from Chiesa, it has been claimed that Liverpool could add further signings to their squad.
Journalist Francois Plateau wrote: “Liverpool have been tracking RB Leipzig’s Castello #Lukeba, Inter’s Alessandro #Bastoni, and Everton’s Jarrad #Branthwaite, and could make a last-minute bid for one if Joe #Gomez departs this week.
“The club won’t force Gomez, their longest-serving player, out — it’s up to the 27yo Englishman to decide his future.”

In addition, Football 365 claimed that a report in Spain has stated Liverpool are preparing a bombshell signing before Friday and a bold move for Alessandro Bastoni is being considered.
Liverpool enjoyed a great start to the 24/25 Premier League season after beating Ipswich Town and Brentford to kick start the Arne Slot era.
Their first tough test will come this weekend when they travel to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
