Liverpool have three secret weapons as they look to secure Arne Slot’s first transfer ahead of Arsenal.
Slot, 45, will officially take over from Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool’s new head coach on June 1.
Earlier in the month, a club statement read: “Liverpool Football Club can announce Arne Slot has agreed a deal to become the club’s new head coach, formally taking up the position on June 1, 2024, subject to a work permit.

“The 45-year-old will join the Reds from Feyenoord ahead of the 2024-25 season after a deal was reached with the Eredivisie club for his services. Slot will replace Jürgen Klopp at the helm following his decision to step down from the post at the end of the current campaign.”
Since then, Liverpool have been linked with a move for Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow.
Liverpool have reportedly been scouting Bijlow for a while, sending scouts to watch him play in Champions League matches against Lazio, Atletico Madrid and Celtic last season.

Liverpool are set to face competition from fellow Premier League giants Arsenal for Bijlow’s signature.
However, the Reds could have the edge in the race due to three secret weapons.
Bijlow is currently away on international duty after being selected in the Netherlands’ squad for Euro 2024.
Also in the squad are Liverpool trio Virgil van Dijk, Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo.

As a result, the trio could possibly have words and sell the Liverpool dream to Bijlow if the interest becomes concrete.
Speaking recently about his future, Bijlow said to Voetbalzone: “Would I stay at Feyenoord? You never know, do you? That’s football. You don’t know that.
“I’m ambitious, I’ve always said that. If the opportunity presents itself and a good club comes from abroad, I am open to it.”

He added: “As long as I am under contract with Feyenoord, that is never a punishment and I will give everything as long as I play there. Those [Liverpool and Arsenal] are two very nice clubs. Of course it is always nice to be mentioned at big clubs.
“What I’m just saying: I’m ambitious. As long as I play for Feyenoord I will give everything for that and first I just want to focus on the Dutch team.”
