A player reportedly wanted by Liverpool boss Arne Slot has now been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona.
During the summer transfer window, Liverpool spent big to bring the likes of Florian Wirtz, Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong and Milos Kerkez to Anfield.
However, despite a promising start to the season, the recent dismal run has left them seven points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal.
Looking ahead, names such as Marc Guehi, Adam Wharton and Antoine Semenyo have all been linked with a move to Anfield.

However, one former target of Slot's has now been linked with a move to Barcelona.
During Slot's first summer in charge, Liverpool were rejected by Martin Zubimendi, who ended up joining Arsenal this year.
Meanwhile, a quiet summer ended with the Reds bringing in Federico Chiesa from Juventus.
However, it was reported by Football 365 that Liverpool wanted to sign Victor Osimhen, who was at Napoli at the time.

It was claimed that despite signing Chiesa, Liverpool made a ‘blitz’ to sign Osimhen, but their interest ‘faded’ due to ‘salary issues’ with the Nigeria international asking for too much money.
A year on, Osimhen is currently playing for Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray, having signed for a reported fee of €75 million.
Recently, the 26-year-old has been tipped as a potential replacement for Robert Lewandowski at Barcelona.

As per Barca Blaugranes, Spanish journalist Gabriel Sans of Mundo Deportivo said: "Barcelona needs a very good centre-forward and is looking for one for next season. It’s not guaranteed whether Lewandowski will stay on. He’s 37 years old and currently injured, so it’s unknown how he’ll return.
"From this perspective, Victor Osimhen is a player Barcelona wants. That’s certain, but there have been no meetings, no discussions between the parties, and no negotiations."
He added: "Osimhen is definitely on Barcelona’s transfer list today, but we need to look at Lewandowski’s situation.
"We don’t know how his future at the club will shape up. Osimhen is all about goals and success. Yes… Barcelona is keeping a close eye on him."
