Fans genuinely can't believe how much Brentford want for Ivan Toney amid reports linking him with a stunning move to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Toney is currently serving a ban for breaching FA betting rules, but he finishes his sanction on January 16.

Last month, he found the back of the net in a behind closed doors friendly.

He's free to return to competition in the middle of the January transfer window, intensifying speculation that he could leave Brentford for a bigger club.

Premier League duo Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly keeping tabs on the 27-year-old ahead of the transfer window reopening.

And it appears he'll command a hefty transfer fee as widespread reports claim The Bees want a whopping £100 million for their prized asset.

Toney's price tag shocked people on social media as they made their feelings clear.

One X user wrote: "How is Ivan Toney worth £100 million? Might as well put DCL up for £200 million."

A second tweeted: "Football has gone mad how Brentford valued Ivan Toney for £100m?"

A Chelsea supporter added: "If Ivan Toney is going for 100 million we might as well just go for Osihmen at this point."

A fourth said: "Ok he’s a good player but Brentford value Ivan Toney at 100 million…. Just wow."

An Arsenal fan commented: "100 million for Ivan Toney is a joke it's better we go for Osimehen or Sesko."

Brentford fully intend to keep Toney at least until the end of the season.

Thomas Frank has previously talked up a £100 million price tag. In the summer, he said: "£100m plus?... What would you pay for a striker that guarantees you 20-plus goals? And this is 20 goals for a mid-table club. What can he do in a bigger club."

The one-capped England player has been at Brentford since 2020 following his switch from Peterborough United.

He scored an impressive 31 goals in the 2020/21 Championship campaign as he inspired his side to promotion to the Premier League.

He netted 12 top flight goals in the 2021/22 term and bagged a superb 20 league goals last season.

Will Toney leave the Gtech Community Stadium for £100 million? Watch this space.
