Jurgen Klopp has already made his feelings clear on Benjamin Sesko amid transfer interest from his old rivals Manchester United.
After a disastrous 15th-placed finish in the Premier League last season, Ruben Amorim has sought to refresh his attack this summer.
Matheus Cunha has arrived from Wolves, while Bryan Mbeumo made the switch from Brentford but United are still keen to add a centre-forward.
Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins has been heavily linked but it recently emerged that Sesko is their top target for the position.

And one man who has worked with the Slovenian is the former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
He began work as Red Bull GmbH's head of global soccer at the start of 2025, looking after RB Salzburg, New York Red Bulls and RB Leipzig.

After Sesko's fantastic strike from distance for Leipzig against Werder Bremen in January, Klopp said: "My plans with him are that he scores more goals like he scored on Sunday. That was a really good one.

"I was pretty impressed, he played a good game. He’s a good player anyway.
"I’ve actually known him for a while, I knew him already when he was at Salzburg. I think we played a friendly game here when he was very, very young.
"I was really impressed, I thought, “Where do they get all these players?, ridiculous.’
Manchester United will face competition for Sesko's signature from Premier League rivals Newcastle United.

Hugo Ekitike was Newcastle's first-choice striker target but he instead made a £69 million move to Liverpool.
Now with interest from the Premier League champions for Newcastle's star player, Alexander Isak, the Magpies are assessing the striker market again.

Klopp added: "‘Our plan, and I don’t have to ask Marco Rose what his plan is with Sesko, I know it, he wants to help him score as many goals as possible.

"He has space for improvement, space for development, incredible skillset, incredible potential so I’m happy that we have him."
Sesko joined RB Leipzig in 2023 from RB Salzurg and has scored 39 goals in 87 games since making the switch.
He was linked with a move away from Germany last summer, but decided to sign a new five-year contract.
But there is reportedly a gentleman's agreement between Sesko and RB Leipzig allowing him to leave for a 'special club'.

Fabrizio Romano reported that the package would be between €70 million and €80 million as an initial fee, with €5 million to €10 million in add-ons.
Both United and Newcastle are desperate to sign a striker, so it seems likely that he will move on this summer.
