Fans fume as Tottenham Hotspur ‘no longer considering Julian Nagelsmann as new manager’

Julian Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich in March

Tottenham Hotspur fans are fuming after the club reportedly ruled Julian Nagelsman out of the running to become the new manager.

Spurs are currently searching for their next permanent manager after Antonio Conte left the club in March following a fiery outburst.

Since Conte's departure, Cristian Stellini was then sacked, with Ryan Mason now leading the team for the remainder of the 22/23 season.

Nagelsmann was reportedly one of the many contenders to take over at Spurs after he was sacked by Bayern Munich in March.

However, on Friday evening, it was widely reported that Spurs have decided against appointing Nagelsmann and have insisted they did not meet the 41-year-old nor do they intend to.

According to The Sun, the club have ‘great respect’ for the former RB Leipzig boss but he is not the right man at the moment.

Spurs are believed to be interested in Feyenoord boss Arne Slot, Bayer Leverkusen’s Xabi Alonso and Sporting Lisbon’s Ruben Amorim.

However, Spurs fans have been left furious by the club’s decision not to pursuit Nagelsmann.

One said: “Tottenham are a joke. The fact that Nagelsmann is off, shows the lack of vision at Tottenham.”

Another tweeted: “This Tottenham Club is so finished.”

A third fan added: “Imagine not going for Juian Nagelsmann, who do we think we are?”

Someone else wrote: “We yet again look pathetic by saying we had no interest in a manager that ticked every box.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “What a joke Tottenham Hotspur one of the best young managers available and we’re not interested again the cheap option… Enough is Enough.”
