The Bayern Munich forward didn't hold back.

A fan asked Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller if he’d join Arsenal this week, and his brutally honest response has gone viral on social media.

The Bundesliga champions are currently preparing for the new campaign with a pre-season tour of America.

Julian Nagelsmann's side kicked off their tour on Wednesday with a 6-2 win against Wayne Rooney's DC United and on Sunday, The Bavarians will come up against Manchester City in a mouth-watering clash at the Lambeau Field.

In recent days, supporters have been able to attend Bayern's training sessions in Washington.

And ahead of their pre-season clash against DC United, fan favourite Thomas Muller was signing jerseys and interacting with the crowd when Twitter user @SlidelntoMyCDMs made a special request.

"Muller, will you come to Arsenal?" he said, before the 32-year-old smiled, laughed and shook his head. "No, no, no." he replied before grinning some more.

Despite there being no suggestion that a deal was on the horizon, this fan clearly thought he'd shoot his shot with the transfer request but realistically, Muller will likely be a Bayern player for several years to come.

Earlier this year, the German signed a new two-year deal with the Bundesliga champions to keep him at the club until 2024.

"I'm delighted to have extended my contact with FC Bayern Munich until 2024 today," he told the club's website. "The journey we've been on since I joined the FCB academy in 2000 has been a fantastic success story up to now."

After facing Pep Guardiola's Manchester City on Sunday, the German champions will come up against RB Leipzig in the DFL Supercup final on July 30.

They will then face Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening Bundesliga game of the season before fixtures against Wolfsburg, VfL Bochum and Borussia Monchengladbach in the month of August.
