It was confirmed that Erling Haaland's recorded height at his Manchester City medical was 195.2cm, meaning he is now closer to 6ft 5 ahead of his highly-anticipated debut season in England.

Last month, Premier League champions City confirmed the signing of Haaland after the club agreed to pay his £64 million release clause to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

The 21-year-old forward, who has scored 85 goals in 88 appearances since joining the German outfit from RB Salzburg, has penned a five-year deal at the Etihad worth £21 million per season.

Haaland is reportedly set to earn around £375,000-a-week at City, rivalling Kevin De Bruyne as the club's top earner.

Last month, The Norwegian forward travelled to Barcelona for the first part of his medical and days later, he was once again accompanied by Manchester City's media team for the next stage.

After taking a flight over to Manchester, Haaland visited The Manchester Institute of Health and Performance for his second set of fitness checks, which included blood tests and a DEXA scan.

The routine checks also involved recording his height and, as you can see in the footage below, the 21-year-old was clearly surprised by the results. "Oh wow, I've grown... almost one centimetre!" he said.

Then, after the second part of his medical, Haaland took part in club media assignments before putting pen to paper on his City contract alongside Txiki Begiristain, who is the club's Director of Football.

Haaland also bumped into new teammates Ruben Dias and Aymeric Laporte, as well as former captain Fernandinho, who will be leaving the Etihad at the end of his contract in June.
