Pace for days...

For years now since the inception of FIFA Ultimate Team, pace has been the top trait that you look for in a player.

As the game has evolved and improved, you cannot be as reliant on pace to produce the goods as focusing on technical play has become much more important.

However, having players in your ranks who are quick off the mark can be a deadly weapon and so that's why most players look for players with pace in their FIFA Ultimate Team.

We've managed to put together an XI of the fastest players on the game this year (excluding in-form) and it's fair to say it would be utterly terrifying for any opponent to try and stop the onslaught.

Check out the full team here:

How sweaty is that team? The lowest rated pace rating is 87 and that belongs to the goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.

Spanish full-backs Jordi Alba and Hector Bellerin have 93 and 95 pace respectively and if given the ability to maraud down the flanks, they will be absolutely deadly.

The team is predominantly made up of some of the best shiny gold players but also contains several silver and bronze gems that have pace in abundance.

When an opposition player has pace-heavy strikers running in behind, your defenders have next to no chance of stopping them but with a centre-half pairing of Kebba Ceesay and Nathan Smith both boasting frightening stats of 88 pace, they will give any speedy forward a run for their money.

Winger Mathis Bolly will cause your opponents to break their controllers with his devastating 96 pace and the same can be said for Gnmadi Oduamadi on the opposite flank, with the Nigerian having 94 pace.

You'd have to play two CAMs in midfield if you want pure pace and Taison and Jeff Louis are the men for the job.

Finally in attack, a lightning quick double act of Jamie Vardy and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang means that when you get that ball in behind, madness will ensue.

The team has an overall rating of 79 and has a pace rating of 92. Chemistry is understandably low at 33, but playing with this team for just a few games will be quite something.

If you adopt a counter-attacking style of play and rely heavily on pace to work your magic, this team is for you.
