Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a stunning volley to give Al Nassr the lead against Al Khaleej.

On Wednesday evening, Ronaldo’s Al Nassr took on Al Khaleej in the semi-final of the King’s Cup at the Al Awwal Stadium.

With 16 minutes on the clock, Ronaldo was presented with the ball just inside the penalty area after a mistake by Al Khaleej goalkeeper Ibrahim Sehic.

With his back to goal, Ronaldo unleashed a brilliant left-footed volley which flew into the back of the net.

Reacting on social media, one fan said: “What a finish. Class is so permanent. Could still do that at 70.”

Another tweeted: “99% of strikers can't do that and he does that still is insane.”

A third fan added: “That's a crazy goal....dammmmmn.”

Someone else wrote: “The greatest to ever play. Incredible finish.”

A fifth commented: “This guy didn't have week foot.”

Sadio Mane then doubled Al Nassr’s lead in the 37th minute when he dispatched a penalty to make it 2-0.

Ronaldo has been in fine form in the 23/24 season, having scored 37 goals and assisted 12 in 39 appearances across all competitions.

However, despite the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s form, Al Nassr have struggled to overtake Al Hilal, who are currently top of the Saudi Professional League on 80 points, nine points ahead of Ronaldo’s team.

Over the weekend, Ronaldo came under a little bit of pressure after missing a few big chances during their nervy 1-0 league win over Al Khaleej.

However, speaking after the match, Al Nassr boss Vitor Severino was not too concerned.

When asked about Ronaldo, Severino said: “The opportunities that Cristiano missed are normal in football & these things happen.”

Al Nassr will be back in Saudi Professional League action this weekend when they take on Al Wehda at Al Awwal Park on Saturday night.
