Heung-Min Son has just collected the Premier League Golden Boot for the first time but he might be in line for the Nobel Peace Prize too.

The Spurs star scored a stunning free-kick for South Korea on international duty against Chile on Monday, taking his tally to 32 in 100 games.

But Son, quite possibly the most humble footballer around, also hit headlines when he stopped two Chile players from fighting.

Paulo Diaz and Benjamin Kuscevic were both incensed with one another and exchanged some words on the halfway line.

They both bumped into one another and it looked like things could seriously kick off.

But South Korea captain Son, on the opposite team, played the role of peacekeeper and ensured the pair didn't do their best impression of Lee Bowyer and Kieron Dyer.

He pushed both men away in quick succession to prevent them from throwing hands on the pitch.

On Reddit, user 'kjm911' joked that they "should award him the Nobel peace prize" for his actions, while another wondered if Son was the "Greatest human being in history?".

Chile had a disciplinary issue in the friendly, having seen Alex Ibacache sent off after half-time.

Son secured the victory in stoppage time with a glorious curling set-piece to mark a century of caps for his national team.

The former Bayer Leverkusen and Hamburg man always seems to have a smile on his face but he did have a rare temper flare-up with teammate Hugo Lloris in June 2020.

Lloris was fuming with Son not pressing and the two had to be separated by teammates as they headed down the tunnel for half-time.

The aftermath of the exchange was captured in Amazon Prime's 'All or Nothing' series and the duo made up very quickly before the second-half began.

"A little cuddle, all friends again in the Spurs team." 🤗

Manager at the time Jose Mourinho labelled the tear-up as "beautiful".
