Graham Arnold has picked the 26 men he will have by his side as Australia head to Qatar for this month's FIFA World Cup.

There is a dream call-up for 18-year-old Garang Kuol, whilst there were also some surprise omissions.

The likes of Tom Rogic will not make the trip to Qatar, despite many seeing him as a stand out player for the side.

Elsewhere, veteran goalkeeper Mitch Langerak will also missed out, despite being coerced out of international retirement by Graham Arnold.

Defenders Kye Rowles and Harry Souttar make the side despite just returning from injury, whereas Arnie's son-in-law Trent Sainsbury wasn't named in the squad.

That'll be an awkward family lunch.

Thankfully, everyone's favourite striker, Scottish-born Jason Cummings was included in the 26.

The Socceroos will kick off their tournament against Franc on Wednesday, November 23 (6am AEDT).
