It can be an awkward situation trying to seal a first date but Shakhtar Donetsk's David Neres changed the game completely when he decided to message German model Kira Winona.

The 24-year-old, who is clearly not short of confidence, has told the story of how he managed to convince Winona to go out with him in an interview with Het Parool.
"I didn't have to do much to get my current girlfriend," he said.
"I saw her on Instagram and I send her a DM with: 'I am David Neres. Come to me.' That was enough for a date."

In the interview, Neres also said that "German women apparently love Brazilian men" so he casually sent her a message and the rest is well, history.
The pair are still going strong and Winona gave birth to the couple's first child in 2020.
Neres has also started a new chapter in his career in the transfer window.
The Brazil international left Ajax earlier this month for Shakhtar after spending five years in the Netherlands.

Neres' game time had decreased under Erik ten Hag and despite making 15 appearances in the Eredivise, only three of those were starts.
He helped the Amsterdam giants to the title last year and footage of him enjoying the win a hell of a lot went viral.
Neres enjoyed himself a lot and his post-match interview didn't hide the fact he'd probably had a drink or two, even before he got his hands on a bottle of champagne.
Ajax have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur winger Steven Bergwijn this month as a replacement for Neres, but a move is looking increasingly unlikely.
Bergwijn scored twice in a dramatic 3-2 win over Leicester City two weeks ago and it's likely Antonio Conte will look to keep him around.

Conte has been frustrated at Spurs' lack of business, seeing Adama Traore and Luis Diaz seemingly slip away.
Traore has rejoined Barcelona on loan while Diaz looks likely to sign for Liverpool in the coming days,
