Sergio Aguero may have played with and against some of the all-time greats but the former Manchester City and Barcelona striker really needs to brush up on his knowledge of modern day players.

The 33-year-old Argentine, who confirmed his retirement during an emotional press conference at the Nou Camp last year, has been seriously active on his personal TikTok account of late.

And in a new upload that has picked up over 15 million views, Aguero decided to try and name some of the more recognisable faces in world football, including Jorginho, Olivier Giroud and Ivan Perisic. This is hilarious.

To start with, Aguero was handed an easy one. Or so we thought.

He may not have played alongside £100 million man Jack Grealish during his time at the Etihad, but you would have expected the Manchester City legend to know straight away. Instead, he hesitated before saying: "Errr Grishi!"

To his credit, Aguero clawed some respect back after naming Javier Hernandez by his nickname Chicharito.

Then the mishaps begin. The 33-year-old didn't know who Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic was and moments later, he stumbled massively with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes, his former international teammate.

Olivier Giroud was the next image to pop up on his screen and again, he struggled on this one, despite coming up against the Frenchman on numerous occasions during his spell in the Premier League.

Aguero soon regained his composure to name Phil Foden before calling Chelsea midfielder Jorginho by the name "Serginho'".

As you can imagine, fans were in stitches watching Aguero try and name some of the biggest names in football.

One said: "How can a footballer not know some of the best in his sport?" while another commented: "Didn’t think I’d know more footballers than someone who’s played against them."

A third wrote: "Man really said Serginho."

As you can see in the footage above, the former Manchester City striker is well aware of Phil Foden.

Last month, Aguero and former teammate Mario Balotelli watched the Champions League semi-final clash between Manchester City and Real Madrid – with Foden's goal going down a hit.

After he headed home to make it 3-1, a delighted Aguero waxed lyrically about the 21-year-old midfielder. In fact, he suggests that he was the person who told Pep Guardiola to make the England international a first-team starter.

Thoughts on Aguero's latest TikTok quiz video? Did you do better?
