The staggering figure Neymar has earned in Saudi Pro League since leaving PSG

Neymar signed for Al Hilal just over a year ago and became Sudi Pro League's most expensive signing.

Neymar became the most expensive player in the history of the Saudi Pro League when he signed for Al Hilal just over a year ago.

Al Hilal paid around £86.3 million for the Brazilian, with Paris Saint-Germain experiencing a significant loss on the £200 million they forked on him in 2017.

Neymar penned a two-year contract and immediately became one of the top earners in the Saudi Pro League.

Cristiano Ronaldo is still the highest-paid player in Saudi, raking in a whopping £177 million each year.

But Neymar has also earned a pretty penny since leaving Europe.

According to reports, the former Barcelona superstar earns around £2.65 million per week with the Riyadh giants.

He's been with the club for around 54 weeks, meaning Neymar has made £143.1 million from his Saudi adventure.

The 32-year-old was well-paid at both Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain but his Al Hilal contract has put him in a different stratosphere in terms of finances.

Neymar denied that the motivation for the transfer was due to money, claiming he "wanted to be a global player and test myself with new challenges and opportunities".

But truth be told the Santos youth product hasn't really done much for his wages, though it hasn't exactly been his fault.

Neymar has played just five times for Al Hilal after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament while playing for Brazil in October 2023.

The injury ruled him out for the season and saw him deregistered from the squad.

Even with the likes of Ruben Neves, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Kalidou Koulibaly and Aleksandar Mitrovic in their ranks, Al Hilal felt Neymar's absence and finished third in the league.

Neymar is believed to be close to returning to action after Al Hilal shared photos of him back on the training pitch last week.

Manager Jorge Jesus believes he could be back in September in a huge boost.
