Fans call Cristiano Ronaldo 'finished' after his one-on-one chance in Al Nassr's defeat

Fans call Cristiano Ronaldo 'finished' after his one-on-one chance in Al Nassr's defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr lost 2-0 to Al Taawoun.

Ruthless fans are calling Cristiano Ronaldo 'finished' following his one-on-one effort in Al Nassr's defeat to Al Taawoun.

After guiding his side to the Arab Club Champions Cup last weekend, Ronaldo's team have suffered back-to-back defeats in the Saudi Pro League.

Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq beat Al Nassr 2-1 on Monday, with Al Taawoun also securing a victory over them on Friday.

Leandre Tawamba opened the scoring in the 20th minute, with the visitors sealing the three points deep, deep into stoppage time when Ahmed Bahusayn netted.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner failed to influence the match and was guilty of missing a gilt-edged chance just after the hour mark before being ruled offside.

He was played through on goal and attempted to round the goalkeeper, but fluffed his chance before the ball was cleared.

Had the 38-year-old scored, it wouldn't have counted as he was offside. But that didn't stop supporters on social media from mocking the superstar forward.

One simply wrote: "Finished."

A second Twitter user added: "Man is finished."

A third tweeted: "Finished player."

A fourth said: "Man is so finished."

Another commented: "Washed up player..."

Al Nassr are currently hovering one place above the relegation zone as they occupy 15th spot, having lost their opening two league games of the season.

Ronaldo could return to action next Tuesday when his side take on Shabab Al Ahli in the AFC Champions League.

They resume their league campaign next Friday when they take on Al Fateh.

Will Al Nassr claim their first points of the new Saudi Pro League campaign against Al Fateh?
