Wrexham fans have been begging owner Ryan Reynolds to buy Erling Haaland after he sold his mobile phone company for a whopping £1 billion.

The Deadpool star has his fingers in all sorts of pies and as well as co-owning Wrexham with It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia actor Rob McElhenney, he also part owns wireless mobile network company Mint Mobile.

Or he did, until recently after it was reported that Reynolds had cashed in big-time. Variety say T-Mobile is set to pay 39 percent cash and 61 percent stock, totalling an insane amount of of $1.35 billion (£1.12 billion) to purchase the business.

It follows up Reynolds selling his gin company to Diageo for a reported $610 million and fans of Wrexham are hopeful that the news results in quite a spending spree for the Welsh outfit.

Phil Parkinson's side are currently leading the National League by one point after 37 games and are dead certain to be playing in League Two next term.

And supporters are pleading for Reynolds to put his money where his mouth is and splash out for Manchester City goal machine Erling Haaland, who scored FIVE goals in a 7-0 thrashing of RB Leipzig in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

One said: "Bodes well for Wrexham’s chances of signing Haaland and Mbappe next year.”

Another declared: "Haaland to Wrexham!"

A third also begged: "Sweet. Hopefully, Wrexham will buy Haaland next window."

Reynolds and McElhenney completed their takeover of Wrexham in February 2021, with the pair of Hollywood stars fully immersing themselves into the club and city.

The Dragons missed out on promotion last term after losing to Grimsby Town in the play-off semi-finals. They were also beaten in the FA Trophy final by Bromley, with everything captured in the Disney+ documentary.

A second season will be aired and will feature a memorable FA Cup run and almost guaranteed promotion to the EFL.
