His contract is up at the end of the season, with the 23-year-old heavily linked with a blockbuster move to the Spanish giants.

And it appears the deal is nearing completion. Well, that's according to Real legend Carlos who claims Mbappe is indeed heading to Madrid this summer.

A fan asked the legendary Brazilian if the Frenchman is signing for Real, to which he replied: "Yes, he is."

Mbappe is in his fifth season at PSG and is enjoying yet another prolific campaign, having scored 33 goals in all competitions.

However, this could be his last term in France before potentially heading to Spain to play for Los Blancos.

The La Liga leaders had also expressed an interest in signing Erling Haaland, though they were never all-in unlike their pursuit of the World Cup winner.

Speaking about Mbappe and Haaland, Barcelona's Dani Alves warned clubs not to break the bank for the Borussia Dortmund phenom.

"I wouldn't throw everything at Haaland," he told Spanish outlet Sport.

"Honestly, I wouldn't spend a lot of money on him. On Mbappe, yes, but not Haaland."

Alves added: "I'm playing as a sporting director here, but I'd bet on Mbappe first. He seems more complete in every aspect.

"If you're going to make a huge investment, you have to do it on the best. If it was up to me, I'd bet on Mbappe."
