Real Madrid ‘closing in’ on €72 million deal for 16-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Endrick

Real Madrid are closing in on a €72 million deal to bring 16-year-old Brazilian wonderkid Endrick to the Bernabeau.

The Palmeiras youngster has been in fine form this season after netting nine times in 14 appearances in Brazil’s Serie A.

Endrick is one of the most sought-after talents in world football and has attracted interest from a host of big clubs around Europe, including the likes of Madrid, Paris Saint Germain and Chelsea.

However, it looks like the La Liga champions will win the race for the forward.

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the deal to bring Endrick to Madrid is edging ever closer.

He said to Caught Offside: “Real Madrid are closing in on the signing of Endrick from Palmeiras. PSG have left the race for the Brazilian teenager after seeing a bid turned down by Palmeiras.

“Meanwhile, Real Madrid have agreed personal terms and are discussing the details of the contract.

“Real Madrid are in pole position to get this deal done for a package worth €70m, they are working on the final details and hope to get it done soon.”

Romano also addressed fans’ questions about whether the Endrick deal will hamper a potential deal for PSG star Kylian Mbappe in the future.

“Some fans have asked me about how this affects a potential interest in Kylian Mbappe, but I don’t see links between Mbappe and Endrick, to be honest. Mbappe is world-class while Endrick is a top talent for the future who won’t arrive at Real Madrid before 2024,” Romano added.

The Italian also spoke about Chelsea’s interest in the youngster, but has informed Blues fans to not be disappointed about missing out on Endrick.

“Endrick was a target for Chelsea but they have many others in the list, – they are following many top young players around the world, albeit with nothing imminent,” he said.

“Also, they will sign Christopher Nkunku who should be a superb addition to the squad, so that’s something for Blues fans to look forward to.”
