An incredible Twitter thread has gone through the career of former Real Madrid striker Jese Rodriguez and his off-field antics, it is a brilliant read.

Rodriguez, who is now 29 years old has played for some of the biggest clubs in world football including the likes of Madrid and Paris Saint Germain. He also played in the Premier League when he spent one season on loan at Stoke City.

Now, there has been an incredible thread on Twitter telling the story of his life on and off the pitch.

The thread started with: “The Spanish striker was once tipped as Real Madrid's hottest prospect, and ominously dubbed "the next Ronaldo.

“But things didn't quite go to plan…”

It then showed the time when Rodriguez’s house went up in flames after a gas leak, he was 21 at the time.

Rodriguez named his first child Jese Jr, whilst bizarrely finding out he has a second child after his ex-girlfriend posted pictures of a newborn baby with the hashtags #oursonishere #jeserodriguez.

Whilst juggling his football career, Rodriguez decided to start a music career by releasing a series of pop songs under his artist name, Jey M.

Rodriguez then started a relationship with Spanish reality tv star Aurah Ruiz, and as things turned bitter in Madrid, Rodriguez and Ruiz moved to Paris as the forward signed for PSG.

You might remember Jese Rodriguez as a misfiring Stoke striker with a penchant for awful sunglasses.

But his off-field antics are worthy of a soap opera.

Despite rumours of cheating and separation, Rodriguez and Ruiz had a son.

At this stage, things began to unravel quickly as Rodriguez was loaned to Stoke City. Ruiz did not make the move and instead sued Rodriguez for neglecting his duties as a father.

However, Ruiz then entered the Celebrity Big Brother house.

After 71 days, she was voted off and it was later revealed that Rodriguez had spent €5,000 on text messages to vote her off.

In an astonishing twist, Rodriguez then decided to countersue Ruiz for slander and harassment, demanding she be sentenced to three to five years in jail.

Ruiz was sentenced to nine days of community service but the press was stunned when both walked out hand in hand and kissed.

The pair went separate ways after Ruiz caught Rodriguez cheating, Ruiz later went back to reality tv.

Rodriguez was involved in a hit-and-run incident with footage showing him limping on the side of the road. People thought Ruiz had run him over but that rumour was swiftly denied by both.

Grainy video footage emerges showing the striker limping at the roadside, and witnesses report a woman matching Aurah's description speeding away from the scene.
