Fans think Eden Hazard is finished after Real Madrid training footage emerges

Fans think Eden Hazard is finished after Real Madrid training footage emerges

The Belgian has endured a turbulent time with the La Liga club.

Fans think Eden Hazard is finished after footage from a Real Madrid training session emerged online. You can watch the footage here.

The video showed the Madrid players involved in a one vs one drill, where the attacker is looking to beat the defender before trying to score pass the goalkeeper.

Veteran midfielder Luka Modric showed some great touches, whilst fellow midfielder Federico Valverde also showed his quality.

However, Belgian winger Hazard caught the fans' attention for the wrong reasons.

Hazard was tasked with taking on winger/full back Lucas Vazquez but in his first effort, struggled to get pass the Spaniard before he produced a tame shot towards goal, which was easily saved by the goalkeeper.

Fans were quick to take to the comments section to make fun of Hazard.

One fan said: “It hurts to see Hazard so stiff.”

Another commented: “Hazard is so finished.”

A third fan added: “It is so evident that Eden Hazard is washed up.”

Quite a harsh assessment from fans especially when that was only a training drill, Hazard actually scored later on in the video.

Since his move from Chelsea to Madrid back in the summer of 2019, Hazard has failed to live up to the expectations. His time with the Los Blancos has so far been badly hampered by multiple injury problems.

Manager Carlo Ancelotti recently spoke about Hazard’s situation, failing to guarantee that the Belgian will get regular game time.

Ancelotti said: “Difficult to answer. I know I can count on them and that’s enough. I don’t know how many minutes they are going to play, I have made changes to put more energy and then Rüdiger to be stronger in the aerial ball.

“With 1-1 I put Kroos and Ceballos to have more quality. With 2-1 I didn’t need to bring in Hazard and Asensio.”

Madrid have made an impressive start to their La Liga campaign as they have started their season with four wins out of four.

Attentions will now turn to the Champions League, the reigning champions of Europe will get their defence underway with a visit to Celtic Park to face the Scottish champions.
