Arsenal Fans Unhappy After Bayern Munich Troll Despite Losing To Gunners

There's a long history between Arsenal, Bayern and Twitter trolling and the Bundesliga champions were at it again despite losing.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich is one of the weirder of football's modern rivalries. Two sides that don't compete in the same country and not bitter rivals or fighting each other for titles and yet the rivalry is there and Bayern are at it again.

Since 2013 Arsenal and Bayern have met a ridiculous eight times in the Champions League. In five seasons the only time the English and German club haven't met was in 2014/15.

Across all four ties the Gunners are yet to come out on top, have won only two of the matches and drawn one and have lost the last three competitive meetings between the sides 5-1, or 15-3 on aggregate.

Today they managed to exact a very minute amount of revenge with a penalty shoot-out win over the Bundesliga champions in a pre-season win:

Because of the regularity of the beatings that Carlo Ancelotti's side dole out to Arsene Wenger's team the German's social media team have become very adept at 'trolling' the north London side.

And despite losing the shoot-out they were at it again, suggesting they couldn't 'win them all:'

And needless to say the Arsenal faithful were not too impressed:

If there's a silver lining for Arsenal fans to not being in the Champions League this season it's probably that they won't be embarrassed by their arch nemesis knocking them out again.

Still, there's always next season...
