Arsenal Are Favourites To Sign Philippe Coutinho From Barcelona
Arsenal have emerged as favourites with bookies to complete a shock signing of Philipe Coutinho from Barcelona.
Per The Sun, Spanish media reported yesterday that the Gunners set for talks with the La Liga champions over a loan deal to bring Coutinho back to the Premier League.
William Hill now believe the Emirates is where the former Liverpool man will be playing his football next season.
He is currently 6/4 to link up with Unai Emery's side next season.
Despite reports linking the 27-year-old to an Anfield return, they are currently priced at 7/2.
A move to French giants PSG to play with close friend Neymar is third touted at 4/1 whilst unlikely moves to Manchester City and United are priced at 8/1.
The Brazilian departed the Premier League for the Catalan giants in 2018 for £140 million which Liverpool have since reinvested in players such as Virgil Van Dijk, Allison Becker and Fabinho.
The Reds finished second in the Premier League last season as well as winning their sixth Champions League trophy.
Despite the hefty price tag, Coutinho's time at the Nou Camp hasn't seen a replication of his Liverpool form, scoring just five goals in La Liga last season.
Barca manager Ernesto Valverde is reportedly happy to let the midfielder leave.
Arsenal will face off with the Catalans tonight in the Joan Gamper Trophy and it is widely believed Gunners head of football Raul Sanllehi is due to begin negotiations following the game.
Should Coutinho join the Europa League finalists, it would add to what has already been a promising summer window in London.

Despite reports of only having a £40 million transfer budget, key signings so far have included Dani Ceballos on loan from Real Madrid and William Saliba from Saint-Etienne who will spend a year on loan back at the French side.
However, the key signing is Nicolas Pepe from Lille for a record fee of £72 million which will be spread across five years.
Arsenal fans will be keen to see the Ivorian join their attacking line with already consists of Alexandre Lacazette as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one of the leagues top scorers last season.
If Unai Emery can add Coutinho into his side for the upcoming season, then there's a chance Arsenal could boast one of the deadliest attacks in the league.
