Spain midfielder Sergio Busquets exacted his sweet revenge on Martin Odegaard during Saturday night's European Championship qualifier against Norway.

Back in March this year, the Real Madrid playmaker, who is currently on a season long loan at Real Sociedad, outwitted the Barcelona midfielder when the pair met on international duty.

He used his lightning quick feet to bamboozle Busquets near the touchline, leaving fans in awe.

Seven months later and the experienced Spaniard finally got payback in the form of a cheeky nutmeg.

Busquets looked up to see Odegaard charging towards him in the 1-1 draw, but La Roja's midfield maestro simply knocked the ball through the 20-year-old's legs to retain possession.

It was a moment of class from the Barcelona man.

Despite that lapse of concentration in the middle of the park, Odegaard produced another masterclass for Norway on Saturday night, continuing his great run of form for club and country.

He completed the most dribbles and most chances created in the tie, as well as notching a passing completion rate of 90%.

The playmaker's comments about his current club Real Madrid are also worth noting.

Odegaard confirmed that Los Blancos "write" to him sometimes and have congratulated him on a "good start" at Sociedad.

"I'm in touch with Real Madrid." he said before the game. "Sometimes they write to me and they tell me how I'm doing.

"Now they congratulated me and praised my good start in La Liga, they told me they're happy with how I'm doing,"

Do you think he deserves to be in Zinedine Zidane's plans in the future?
