Brazil's triumph in the Copa America last summer was 'just' another medal in the cabinet for Dani Alves.

Following Selecao's famous win against Peru in the final, the 37-year-old celebrated his 40th trophy and in turn, became the most successful player in football history.

In his career to date Alves has lifted three Champions League trophies, six La Liga titles and five Copa del Rey's during spells at Barcelona, Juventus and Sevilla.

Not to mention those two Ligue 1 titles with French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

For many years, Brazilian full-back Maxwell was club football's most successful player.

He lifted the French League Cup with his Paris Saint-Germain teammates in May 2017 and grabbed the headlines for his impressive trophy cabinet.

The defender won two Dutch titles and a pair of KNVB Cups during his five years with Ajax before lifting three consecutive Serie A titles with Inter Milan.

But the evergreen Alves knocked his fellow Brazillian off the top spot during his time at the Parc des Princes.

At the age of 37, he doesn't look to be slowing down on the pitch either.

Brazil's captain scooped the Man of the Match award with another stellar performance as his side knocked Argentina out at the semi-final stages last summer.

And his outing in the Copa America final was solid.

In fact, Alves was deservedly named the best player of the tournament.

Alves has since moved to Brazilian side Sao Paulo and still contributes massively towards attacking and defensive phases of play, running down the line on a regular basis, like he did all those years ago at Barcelona.

How many years can Alves play on for? He doesn't seem to be slowing down, that's for sure.
