When Mark Lawrenson tells you to get a life, you know it's a bad day

If, during a football match, your performance is of such a low quality that Mark Lawrenson tells you to 'get a life', you should probably chalk it up as a bad day and volunteer to be substituted.

Not Alberto Moreno though, who faced up to the glaring inadequacies of his first half performance to try his luck during the second half of Liverpool's FA Cup fourth round tie with Wolves at Anfield, this afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp's team went into half time trailing the Championship strugglers 2-0, thanks to goals from Richard Stearman and Andreas Weimann.

Cheer up Alberto, things could be a lot worse. Just ask this lot...

During the opening 45 minutes, Wolves loanee Helder Costa received a pat on the back from Moreno, prompting former Liverpool centre-half Lawrenson to proclaim, "Moreno has just gone and slapped Costa on the back well done. What on Earth is going on? You're getting beaten at home by a Championship team! Get a life!"

As glorious as that exclamation may be, it wasn't the only criticism the Spanish left-back was to receive over the course of the 90 minutes.

In Moreno's defence, he wasn't exactly on his own in terms of his level of performance, with several Liverpool players failing to impress against lower league opposition.

At the time of writing, the scoreline stands at 2-1 to Wolves, with Divock Origi pulling a goal back for Liverpool.
