Southampton's first trip to Wembley since 2001 was ultimately a disappointing one following their 3-2 defeat to Manchester United, and their misery will be compounded by the Tweet posted by their former manager Ronald Koeman.
United opened the scoring through a brilliant free-kick from Zlatan Ibrahimovic but it could of been very different had Manolo Gabbiadini's effort not been wrongly flagged for offside.

Claude Puel will be ruing the officiating as he then saw his side go 2-down after Jesse Lingard's strike. Though on the stroke of half-time, Southampton's prolific Italian frontman reduced the deficit.

And after the restart, he bagged another goal with an instinctive finish. But Zlatan broke Southampton hearts as he scored a late winner though to the delight of Everton boss Koeman.
