The former Real Madrid man is known for his combative nature and he took it to the extreme over the weekend.

Pepe reminded us what he's all about on Sunday night and refused to shake hands with a ball boy at the end of a game.

The Porto defender was approached by the ball boy at full-time of Porto's 1-1 draw with Belenenses.

In typical Pepe fashion, he responded angrily and moved his arm away from the ball boy.

Check out the video below.

It's unknown if the ball boy had done anything to wind Pepe up, but that probably doesn't take much to do.

One Reddit user left a comment stating:

"This is actually a nice gesture by Pepe. A couple of years ago he would've kicked the living shit out of the boy".

Another stated:

"The ball-boy should consider himself lucky walking out of this physically intact."

Belenenses were guilty of time wasting throughout the game but there's no need for that kind of reaction.

It's typically cynical stuff from the former Real Madrid man who arguably made a career off these kind of antics.

There is no doubt that the 36-year-old was a world class defender in his prime but it was his combative nature that made him stand out.

Alongside Sergio Ramos, he led a Real Madrid defence that was feared across Europe.

The duo perfected the art of the 's**thouse' and love them or hate them, they produced results for 'Los Blancos'.

Pepe eventually took a backseat to Raphael Varane who has emerge into one of the world's finest central defenders.

He won three La Liga titles and three Champions League's during his time in the Spanish capital.

Furthermore, he had legendary feuds with some of La Liga's most feared attackers including Diego Costa at Atletico Madrid.

Winding up players was also a staple of his game and he was often seen whispering in their ear trying to put them off.

The Portuguese international joined Porto in January following an 18 month stint at Besiktas and it's clear to see he hasn't mellowed with age.

Porto are currently four points behind Benfica in Primeira Liga and face Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday night.
