Everyone Is Talking About Manchester City's Disallowed Goal Against Cardiff

Was it the right call?

It's been a weekend for controversies in the FA Cup and another one came today as Bernardo Silva's belter of a goal against Cardiff City was bizarrely ruled out.

Kevin De Bruyne put Pep Guardiola's side ahead with a clever free-kick under the wall and Portuguese international Silva thought he had extended City's lead with a wonderful strike that cannoned in off the crossbar.

However, as the former Monaco man was wheeling away in celebration, referee Lee Mason consulted his linesman and eventually disallowed the strike - with the two appearing to believe Leroy Sane was offside and interfered with play.

The German may have been off by a fraction but deeming him to have been in the eyeline of goalkeeper Neil Etheridge was a very questionable decision and one that got people talking:

Silva got a glorious assist not long after when he set up Raheem Sterling with a glorious cross but will have been gutted that one of the best goals of his career was chalked off.

Thoughts on the decision?
