Football club badges are, essentially, a visual representation of that club, printed on shirts, club merchandise, league tables and more.
In the current age of badges, more and more clubs are opting for a circular logo, mainly for branding purposes, with some of the more complex logos consigned to the past.
But while the badges of Manchester United, Liverpool etc are easily identifiable, they have certainly changed considerably from the early days of each club’s formation.
For this SPORTbible quiz, we’ve delved through the club badge archives - thanks to 1000 Logos - and picked out some vintage logos from top clubs around the world. Some are easier than others to identify.
