Fans surprised at state of Newcastle's away dressing room in video featuring Anthony Elanga

Fans surprised at state of Newcastle's away dressing room in video featuring Anthony Elanga

Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga was filmed celebrating their 3-1 win over Newcastle on Tuesday.

A video filmed inside St James' Park's away dressing room after Nottingham Forest recorded a surprise 3-1 win on Boxing Day is doing the rounds.

Newcastle's seven-game winning streak in the Premier League was ended on Tuesday as former Magpies striker Chris Wood scored a hat-trick on his return to Tyneside.

As a result, Nuno Espírito Santo's side climbed to 16th in the league table, five points above the relegation zone.

It was a huge victory for the Reds and after the full-time whistle, a video of Anthony Elanga's post-match reaction emerged from the St James' Park dressing room.

The former Manchester United winger, who has notched four goals and four assists since joining Forest for £15 million, showcased some impressive dance moves, as seen below.

But it was the state of Newcastle''s changing facilities that got people talking online.

One fan on social media wrote: "My secondary schools' changing room looked better than this," while another said: "Away dressing room at St. James' Park looks like the inside of a prison cell."

A third commented: "Newcastle got too much money for their away dressing room to look like a prison cell."

A fourth said: "Away dressing rooms have to be more spacious and comfortable. Tighter ones allow siege mentality," while a fifth added: "This is a Premier League dressing room?!"

This isn't the first time fans have commented on Newcastle's away dressing room.

Some were quick to comment when Rafael Leao posed for a picture with Clarence Seedorf after AC Milan's hard-fought 2-1 win at St James' Park earlier this month.

And earlier this year, YouTube channel Sam The Nigerian Traveler visited the changing facilities on a stadium tour of the 52,000-seater stadium. You can check out the footage below:

In a post-match interview with Prime Video, a delighted Nuno Espirito Santo told his players to "enjoy" the result after their shock win over Eddie Howe's men.

"It was very good and well deserved," he said. "I think the boys played very well. It's amazing so let's enjoy it."

Espirito Santo added: "We know Newcastle press very high. We know when the moment is there, we have to spin and go. It's all about their attitude to the game. Now we have to rest and recover.

"The next game is a tough one. I think we can deliver a good game again."

Nottingham Forest will host Manchester United later this week, while Newcastle travel to Anfield on January 1 to face top of the league Liverpool.
