Premier League star 'dumped by wife after being caught out by Ring doorbell'

A Premier League footballer has been dumped by his wife after their Ring doorbell spotted him bringing a mystery woman into the house, it has been reported.

The Daily Mail report that the player's wife was on holiday when she received a message on Instagram from the mistress, who wrote that 'I slept with your husband'.

It is said that she then checked the family's Ring doorbell app, which showed footage of her husband returning home with the mystery woman.

A source told the Daily Mail: "When she saw the doorbell video camera footage, she knew there and then what the truth was.

"There's no going back from that and it meant the end of the marriage.

"The wife was totally shocked and heartbroken because nothing can prepare you for something like this."

The report claims that the footballer protested his innocence and claimed that the image his wife had been sent was fake, but she then checked their Ring doorbell and saw the footage.

It is alleged that the woman who was seen in the footage was the same as the one who had messaged the player's wife on Instagram.

The player is unnamed but the Mail describes him as an international footballer.

Ring doorbells feature a built-in camera, meaning people who install them can monitor what is happening outside their house.

They also provide a Two-Way Talk system so you can talk to whoever is outside the door - meaning you can hear noises if that particular function is turned on. Subscribers to Ring can also view video recordings.
