Pep Guardiola has reacted to Myles Lewis-Skelly mimicking Erling Haaland's celebration during Arsenal's big win over Manchester City.

Arsenal thrashed Man City 5-1 at the Emirates on Sunday to close the gap on league leaders Liverpool.

Martin Odegaard opened the scoring, with Haaland equalising after the break.

Thomas Partey restored his side's lead as Lewis Skelly, who celebrated by performing Haaland's celebration, Kai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri added a third, fourth and fifth.

Haaland's dad, Alfie, hit out at Arsenal, who posted an image of their youngster copying the Man City star's celebration.

During his post-match press conference, Guardiola was asked about the Arsenal starlet's decision to copy Haaland's celebration.

He said he didn't see it, saying: "Oh I didn't see it... I didn't see them do that... that's good. That's good. So, he did Haaland's celebration? They have done it?

"Ah, that's good. That's good."

As he left his seat, Guardiola turned to the Man City press officer and joked: "Did you like my answer?"

On his team's defeat to Arsenal, Guardiola told the BBC: "I only regret the last 25 minutes. We forgot to do what we should do, what we had done for 65 to 70 minutes. Of course, it's a difficult game in this stadium, against that team, conceding in the first minutes - it has happened many times this season.

"But, after 10 to 15 minutes, I think we took the game and played really good. We are in it after 1-1 and we had good momentum. We pass to make the transition with Omar [Marmoush] and then comes a deflection and the third goal.

"But, after that, we then continued to do what you have to do defensively and we were a little bit more patient. When you're playing that way, they can run and, of course, at 3-1 they are comfortable so it is more difficult.

"I regret the last 15 to 20 minutes, but the rest was a really good game for our side. It's difficult to understand when you see the result, but this is my feeling."

Man City now trail Liverpool by 15 points, having suffered their seventh league defeat of the season.

The Blues have 41 points on the board and return to action next Saturday when they face Leyton Orient in the FA Cup.
